Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

First things first, once you’re inside the condo.

If you have a car, collect a parking permit from the welcome-sign keyholder to the left of the condo’s front door. Two permits are available. Take your key and fob with you so you don’t get locked out. Hang one permit from each vehicle’s rearview mirror as soon as possible. Cars without permits risk being towed.

For the gate code and lockbox details, see your private check-in message. The Wi-Fi QR code is below.

02 / FIND YOUR WAY

Arrival

For parking, head to the rear of the complex, behind Building 2. Building 2 is perpendicular to the front buildings. At Building 2, the rear lot is one-way: enter on the right / east and exit on the left / west.

Host-provided illustrated Houndstooth map showing rear parking, Building 2 entry and Unit 2209, the clubhouse, main entrance and separate Exit only gate. Orientation guide, not to scale.

Parking & entry

  1. Through the gate

See your private check-in message for the gate code. On game weekends, tell the guard you’re renting Unit 2209.

  2. Park inside the complex

Head to the rear of the complex, behind Building 2.

Use any parking space within the complex, with a maximum of two cars.

  3. Find the building entry

From the rear parking lot, face Building 2 and use the entry on your left, closest to Unit 2209. Both entry doors have a lockbox labeled Houndstooth Rentals. View the lockbox photo, and see your private check-in message for access details.

  4. Take one key-and-fob set

Each lockbox contains one key-and-fob set. We recommend leaving the set at the other entry door as an emergency spare, unless your group really needs the second set. Use the fob for the building and the key for the condo. The doors lock automatically; you cannot get back in without your key and fob, so keep them with you.

  5. Second floor, then left

Take the elevator to the second floor. Step out and turn left. Unit 2209 is the very first door.

  6. Hang your parking permits

Two parking permits are on the welcome-sign keyholder to the left of the condo’s front door. Take your key and fob with you so you don’t get locked out. Return to your cars immediately and hang one permit from each vehicle’s rearview mirror. At checkout, bring the permits back to the unit and return them where you found them.

04 / OUT & ABOUT

Walks & rides

Walking to Bryant-Denny Stadium

Facing 15th Street from inside the complex, head to the far right. Use the pedestrian gate beside the exit-only vehicle gate, labeled “Exit only” on the map. Once outside and facing 15th Street, turn right (west) onto 15th Street. At 10th Avenue, turn right (north) toward the stadium.

Plan on a 15 to 20 minute walk. Allow extra time for crowds, security and getting to your assigned stadium entrance.

Walking to Coleman Coliseum

Facing 15th Street from inside the complex, head to the far right. Use the pedestrian gate beside the exit-only vehicle gate, labeled “Exit only” on the map. Once outside and facing 15th Street, turn left (east). Turn left (north) onto Hackberry Lane. After the public railroad crossing, turn right (east) onto Coliseum Street and follow it toward Coleman Coliseum.

Stay on marked sidewalks and crossings, obey railroad signals, and allow extra time for trains and event crowds. Never shortcut across the tracks.

Uber & Lyft at the condo

When vehicle access is allowed, you can give your driver the gate code from your private check-in message. Game-weekend security may restrict entry.

If your driver cannot enter, face 15th Street from inside the complex and head to the far right. Use the pedestrian gate beside the exit-only vehicle gate, labeled “Exit only” on the map. Meet at an agreed pickup spot outside the complex. Confirm the location in the app and choose a safe, legal place for the driver to stop.

Rides on campus for football games

UA lists designated rideshare areas on Thomas Street behind Publix, on Hackberry Lane next to the Chimes Condos, and at the Randall Welcome Center on Campus Drive (pregame only).

Road closures and pickup access can change around kickoff and after the game. Check the UA rideshare guidance, game-day map and traffic updates, then confirm your pickup with the driver.

06 / SETTLE IN

Comfort & kitchen

Rest easy

  • Four luggage racks, plus hangers for unpacking
  • Towels and extra sheets in each bedroom
  • Bedside sound machines help with train noise. Choose the infinity setting to keep the sound playing continuously.
  • Dimmers in all rooms
  • A hair dryer in each bathroom

The sofa bed

Bedding is in the primary bedroom closet, with an extra pillow in the ottoman. When fully extended, the bed reaches the wall and leaves very little room to move around. We recommend folding it away during the day so you can comfortably use the room and desk.

A place to plug in

Need to catch up on work? There’s a desk, computer monitor and USB-C cable, so bring your laptop and make yourself comfortable.

Coffee & cooking

Our kitchen has everything you need to cook and feel at home, including plates, utensils, serving dishes, pots and pans, a blender, toaster and microwave.

You’ll find extra coffee above the Keurig, cookie sheets under the stove and extra paper towels above the oven. The refrigerator has an ice maker and filtered water with a fresh filter.

Cleaning & laundry supplies

Cleaning supplies are available throughout the unit. Dishwasher pods are under the kitchen sink; laundry pods and dryer sheets are in the laundry room.

A few thoughtful extras

Extra toilet paper is in the primary bedroom, and more paper towels are in the primary bedroom closet. Help yourself to stocked items. Any alcoholic beverages are for guests 21 and older only.

Feel free to use the red and white poms on game day. It’s a Crimson tradition!
